Automation Programmer

Position
The automation programmer programs controls according to sequences established by the engineering department and works closely with start-up technicians to adapt programming to worksites. They also test and configure new technologies from our manufacturer, Distech Controls. Designing innovative strategies is key to our success!
Responsabilities
- Programming digital controls
- Programming network operations and integration platforms
- Configuring and commissioning communication networks with commissioning technicians
- Working with commissioning technicians on systems start-ups
- Finalizing schedules based on site data
- Finalizing graphical interface assemblies as required
Requirement
- IT, electrical engineering, industrial electronics, or building mechanics technician or engineer
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in buildings-adapted controls programming
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Adaptability, good judgment, and autonomy
- Functional English (required since manufacturers’ documentation is in English, some clients are English-speaking, and we carry out projects in Ontario as well as occasionally elsewhere in Canada)
