As part of the construction of Royalmount, a high-end commercial complex located in Montreal, we automated the operation of 1,340 heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems spread across approximately sixty mechanical rooms.
Our intelligent controllers make it possible to:
- Maintain temperature ranges within mixed water loops
- Ensure occupant comfort through temperature and humidity control
- Preheat the piazza’s concrete slab during winter based on weather conditions
- Regulate cooling tower operation according to outdoor temperatures
- Program peak-demand management strategies and optimize the use of gas and electric boilers
- Alternate pumps to maximize their service life
- Manage geothermal well energy
All operations staff use Tridium's Niagara platform to monitor system performance remotely and intervene in the event of technical issues or comfort concerns.
